End Of Year Reflection Animation

Technology

In Animation this year I have learned a lot of skills in programs such as maya, after effects and photoshop. I learned these through the various projects we have had throughout the year. I had some challenges with modeling in maya. One of my strengths was putting my projects in after effects and rendering them. One of my weaknesses is getting my work done on time. I have improved my lighting throughout the year. But i still need to work on my 3d animation. I would probably change my work ethic in class if i could. 

Collaboration

In Ecomm we had a lot of projects where we had to collaborate especially with the final video. I learned about this from being around and working with people. It is important because in a career as an adult you will have to be able to collaborate with coworkers. Although, I did have some challenges with getting group members motivated to do their work. I am a strong leader and organizer for projects. One weakness I have is that I am a little too critical with some people and then they get mad. I have improved by trying to be more understanding with people but I still have work to do. I will use these skills through out my entire life with coworkers and classmates.

Communication

Communication in ecomm is vital to getting better and getting reviews. I would communicate with the people around me constantly trying to get help with projects or learning new skills. My strengths in this area is I'm a pretty friendly guy so i can talk well with a wide variety of people. One weakness is sometimes I talk too much. I have gotten better with this through the year though and have started getting more of my work done. I obviously will be communicating for the rest of my life so those skills will last forever.

Project Management 

This year i really understood the value of getting projects done on time and making a deadline. In this class we were held to a higher standard than freshman year and would lose points if we didn't make a deadline. One of my weaknesses is not being able to get my work done in time. But as the year went on i have gotten better at this and turned in my projects. But i still need to work on the quality. I would change my attitude earlier in the year about the projects.

Leadership

I learned about leadership through our group project at the end of the year. This is important because i will need to use this in my life with work and classes. I had challenges with other group mates but nothing that bad. I have many strengths in leadership like organizing people and giving them jobs. I have gotten better at this through the year and been working on these skills. I will use these skills with organizational skills throughout my life.
